Membership Fees along with donations, grants and money from fundraiser events are the key resources the Kinzua Valley Trail Club has to keep our trail constantly upgraded. These funds pay for materials, tools, equipment, gasoline, diesel fuel, repairs & utilities.
After a long hard northern Pennsylvania winter, it can sometimes take more than a little spring cleaning to repair the trail. The maintenance season goes from April through late October when the trail is in need of consistent care. this usually involves trimming weeds that encroach on the berms, clearing fallen trees and grooming the trail surface.
Not everyone needs to dig in and get their hands dirty, but that helps, too! Work sessions are stress-free and hours are flexible, but most are held at 9 am on scheduled Saturdays. However, there may be occasions when sessions are needed on week days. Volunteers meet for work sessions at the maintenance building on the CCC Road across from the Westline Trailhead.
We take pride in maintaining our trail so all users can enjoy the beauty, safety and adventure of the kinzua valley trail.
We are grateful to all who give of themselves to keep the trail in tip-top shape for everyone to enjoy!
